Stephen founded the Milltown Group in 1986. Initially, the company was primarily a steel fabrication business within the agricultural and industrial sectors.
Following early success in this area, he expanded the company in the areas of Steel & Cladding, Civil Engineering, and finally as an Architectural & Engineering Consultancy bringing the company to where it is today where it offers clients a full turnkey construction package.
Stephen has ensured over the past 35 years that we maintain our reputation as a customer-focused company that delivers quality and often complex projects on time and budget for a variety of clients across numerous sectors. He effectively leads a focused/professional team and is particularly noted for his collaborative, solutions-based approach to managing relationships, somebody you can do business with.

Damien Murphy
CEO
Damien qualified with an Honours Degree in Structural Engineering from DIT Bolton Street in 2002.
On graduation, Damien worked as a structural engineer on a number of projects in Ireland with the Company and then progressed to the position of Project Manager.
To gain greater experience of large-scale projects he moved to Canada in 2012 for 5 years. During his time in Canada, he managed large-scale industrial and infrastructure projects.
In 2017 he rejoined the company and quickly progressed through the company becoming CEO. Since then his exceptional insight and commercial know-how have contributed to the sustained and progressive growth of the company over the past number of years.
Damien brings a pragmatic approach to his work understanding that leading successful and diverse construction projects is dependent on having the right personnel in place, well managed, and performing to the best of their ability. He thrives on the responsibility of fully meeting client’s expectations bring a dynamism and ‘can do’ attitude and hands-on approach when necessary.

Paul Cooke F.C.A.
Financial Controller
Paul Cooke is a Chartered Accountant with 30 years’ experience operating at senior executive level in several different organisations in Ireland.
Paul started his career with PWC and then undertook a senior financial role in the builder’s provider sector.
In 1988 he was part of the senior management team which successfully launched the Irish Daily Star becoming managing director in 2001. During his 12 years as managing director turnover grew to €50M and profits doubled to €8m.
Subsequently, he purchased Sunday Business Post from Examinership and became managing director resulting in the business returning to profitability within 2 years.
Prior to joining Milltown Developments, Paul operated his own Boutique Business and Leadership Consultancy firm focused on mentoring / coaching clients to assist them in scaling and growing their business. In addition, he conducted a number of assignments in corporate finance and debt restructuring together with business sales and purchases.
